- The majority of acupuncturists in the Santa Cruz area boasting specialties in Women’s Health, Fertility and Pain Management have taken clinical and didactic classes from Dr. Rozenn.
Dr. Rozenn’s students can be found across the entire United States. They lead nonprofits, teach in advanced educational programs, and bring the power of Oriental medicine to thousands of patients daily
If you are a local Doctoral student or licensed acupuncturist looking to expand your skill set, you are welcome to apply to Dr. Rozenn’s Apprenticeship Program.
Dr. Rozenn’s program is based on traditional Oriental medicine training systems. Students observe patient intakes and treatments (if patients are comfortable with a student). Through assisting her, they learn about Western laboratory tests, specific acupuncture protocols, Western and Chinese herbal formulas, and the most valuable skill of all: making this ancient medicine accessible to the modern patient. Advanced students will be given the opportunity to treat patients under her supervision.
The Intensive Apprenticeship Program
For Doctoral candidates and acupuncturists from out of the area.
Dr. Rozenn has provided doctoral preceptorship hours to students from Bastyr, YoSan and other Oriental Medicine Universities across the country. She happily opens her doors to eager students willing to travel to complete an intensive preceptorship with her. Students have the chance to learn Dr. Rozenn’s specialized treatments for Women’s Health, Fertility and Pain Management through spending every clinic day per week with her. Students may apply for Intensive Apprenticeship Programs between 2-8 weeks. This immersion program includes one-on-one guidance and basic training in KMS acupuncture, in clinical rounds. Housing within walking distance to her clinic may also be provided. The cost for this program varies depending on length of internship and housing needs.
“I have been both a student and patient of Dr. Rozenn over the past 6 years. She is by far one of the most amazing acupuncturists of our time. I feel so lucky to have had the experience working with her, and having her as my acupuncturist has been the most integral part of my health and well being. She has a deep understanding of acupuncture and Chinese medicine that I have never seen in any other practitioner.” Dr. Jessica P.~Oakland
As the end of the Chinese year draws near I want to take a moment to let you know how very much I have appreciated you as a professor and mentor in September. Thank you for asking me hard questions and not letting me out with the easy answers. I am thankful for your time and your precious grace and strength in treatment rooms and outside. I mean, you literally welcomed me to your house. I apologize that it took me so long to write this thank you card but I’m near tears thinking how much you shared with me. Because of you, my practice has changed. I am more aware of the breath and how it effects the body and treatment. I’m noticing the structure of the body and how it may give a practitioner insight into internal conditions more. It has meant so much to me to have a professor/mentor like you. Wish you the best in the next Chinese year!-Out of state studentThe confidence to open my own business most definitely stemmed from your teachings, both clinically and in business. I am forever grateful for my experience with you!–Long Term Apprentice
