This is the question asked by so many of my patients, in fact over 75% of my patients, have asked my opinion on the COVID vaccines. Well, there are several points to consider:
- While am an academic, an author and a clinician, with thousands of hours in Western medicine training, I can not, by law tell patients to take the simplest of Western interventions such as baby aspirin. Thus, taking on a controversial subject such as any of the COVID vaccines are out of the question.
- Unfair you say? YES! I say! But, such is the law, so we need to couch our discussion within this legal context.
- My observation, not as a scientist whose job it is to review data, but simply as a citizen, is that our world has been turned upside down. And the quickest way to restore order appears to be herd immunity which would entail mass vaccination.
- This is simply my observation.
HOWEVER….Speaking as a doctor:
- From the Classical Chinese perspective, a vaccine’s job is to place a toxin in your system-so deep it will not result in illness-yet not so deep that your body will not remember this toxin if faced with it again.
- This immunity comes with a price. The price varies depending on who you talk to. However, the common, observable, and immediate cost is vaccine-related symptoms such as fatigue, fever, chills, arm pain and for those with immune system issues, potentially more serious complications.
- The formula, Xiao Chai Hu Tang, has been used in Chinese medicine to treat illness that lie in this “in between” layer for hundreds of years. Malaria is a good example of this sort of illness. A current and common use of this formula is chronic ear infections in children.
- As you can see there are several applications of Xiao Chai Hu Tang, including modulating the immune system to help people accept vaccines with minimal side effects.
- Additionally, I use several specific detoxification and immune system treatments from the KMS style of Japanese acupuncture that I have found to be so valuable in helping people manage vaccine side-effects.
I invite you, both established and new patients to ask for help if you would like support for vaccine side effects. Simply call, email or click the button above to schedule your appointment.
